Marie Alise Recasner is an American soap opera actress who gained popularity globally for her role on Island of Blood in 1982, Port Charles in 1997, and CBS Summer Playhouse in 1987. She is also known as Alice Jackson from Santa Barbara from 1986 to 1987 and the daughter of actor and writer Ron Recasner. she appeared on Days of Our Lives as Lynne Burke from 1994 to 1998. Marie’s signature look was big glasses and her tall appearance made her always stand out.

Growing up Marie was always into acting and even joined the school drama club before venturing into acting as a career after college. Her first role was in 1985 on Gimme a Break as Tammy on the second episode of season 5. She has had recurring roles on the sitcom A Different World as Millie, Port Charles as second Ellen Burges and in 1986 she was on Benson as LaYoya on episode 12 of season 7.

Marie got married to Rick Podell in 1987 but unfortunately, the marriage came to an end and they divorced in 1997. Rick Podell is an actor, writer, producer, director and a teacher at The Beverly Hills Playhouse. Marie’s ex husband is known for his role on Barking Mad in 2021, Emergency in 1972 and Nothing in Common in 1986. He won an award for Best Ensemble Cast in 2021 for his role on Barking Mad, he has been started in more than 75 episodic television shows and as a stand-up comedian, he has made openings for celebrities like Jerry Lee Lewis, Mac Davis, Cher and The Mills Brothers.

Podell, Marie’s father, was the first American comedian to perform in South Africa. Podell was a writer during the golden era at MTM and was the co-writer for the show Nothing in Common and he recently wrote the script foe CBA TV movie Gleason. She remarried to Wolfram de Marco in 2002 and they have been together ever since. Wolfram is a musical composer who grew up in a musical environment and he started playing violin and piano at age 15. He worked as a session arranger, composure, guitarist and producing music for corporate movies and advertisements.in Frankfurt to working with orchestras and celebrity musicians in cities like Munich, Berlin and London. He is the composer on movies like Curse of the Black Peral, Pirates of the CARIBBEAN, Cat woman, 16 Blocks and Constantine. Marie lives in their home in Windsor Hills, California with her husband, Wolfram, and family.
